Prof. Ilan Chet is a microbiologists and a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Faculty of Agriculture. Ilan Chet is recognized as a pioneer in the field of biological control of plant pathogens which cause major crop losses. His research focuses on the biological control of plant disease using environment-friendly microorganisms, with an emphasis on the basic, applied, and biotechnological aspects of this field. Prof. Chet is a past President of the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot. He holds a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. |
