Mitam Biological Control Ltd. (Mitam) is an Israeli company, specializing in the development of biological control of animal pests: ticks, lice and other parasites. The company's first product Metick™ designed for the biological control of ticks is based on the entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium Anisopliae. It is the result of extensive research conducted by Dr. Michael Samish and Prof. Itamar Glazer at the Kimron Veterinary Institute and the Volcani Institute of Israel's Ministry of Agriculture. In company trials Metick™'s performance is superior to that of chemical insecticides currently in commercial use.
